T & M Steel Erectors are general building contractors that have been providing exceptional services and quality end results since 1967. 
James Herrington is a native Mississippian. He grew up in Philadelphia and moved to Columbus in 1959. He worked in the steel industry and in 1967 founded T & M Steel Erectors, Inc. Ronnie Herrington, James' son, is a Columbus native and graduated from Lee High School. He worked with the family business during high school and started working full time upon graduation. Their hard work and attention to detail have helped establish the exemplary reputation that T & M Steel has today, not only in this area, but areas throughout the Southeast. When T & M Steel was founded, the company primarily erected buildings for other contractors. In 1980, the company was expanded and he became a General Contractor. He then began doing design and building projects as well as turn key jobs. One key to keeping the reputation is the group of experienced and very capable sub-contractors that T & M Steel works with, many with which we have a twenty year relationship.
